The goal of this independent study is: Establish a Raspberry Pi cluster consisting of 4 Pi units (2012 models and at least one Model) for experimenting with parallel processing. The cluster consists or a master node connected to multiple worker nodes on a local network. Worker nodes are accessed through the master node using SSH protocol. The parallel processing system will then be assigned a task. The differentiation between computing time of a single Raspberry Pi computer as compared to the cluster will represent the benefits of parallel processing using relatively inexpensive computational systems.
